SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS star Sam Rockwell is set to play the lead in Roberto Bentivegna’s upcoming film THE EEL about an “escaped convict who is ensnared in a plot by a corrupt Sheriff to kidnap the young heiress to an oil fortune, complicating his quest for freedom”. In THE EEL Rockwell, who is currenlty at Sundance for the premiere of his latest film LAGGIES, will be reuniting with the producers from last year’s Sundance hit THE WAY WAY BACK.
Kevin Walsh, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash have acknowledged that last year’s Sundance success will be hard to top, but still have big plans for the future. They are currently in the midst of naming their production company and production for THE EEL is set to start in the fall.
