I’m a sucker for romantic comedies, especially when they feature two cast members as talented and believable as Jake Johnson (New Girl) and Zoe Kazan (RUBY SPARKS).
Directed by Jenée LaMarque (SPOONFUL), Kazan plays identical twins Laurel and Audrey, inseparable sisters and best friends. However, when high-flying business twin Audrey dies in a car accident, Laurel takes on her identity, her life, and all the mess that comes with it. Johnson stars as Basel, Audrey’s attractive neighbour, who helps Laurel come to terms with who she really is.
Quirky, funny and witty, this is right up my rom-com street! I absolutely loved Zoe in RUBY SPARKS, with her huge doe-eyes and sharp tongue. Jake was also brilliant in SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED, so to see them work together is ace.
THE PRETTY ONE will arrive in US cinemas from 7th February 2014. No word yet of a UK release date.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone.
