A few months ago we brought you am impressively creepy trailer for IFC Midnight’s latest bout of horror with the forthcoming ghostly thriller HAUNT. Directed by Mac Carter, the independent chiller coming from a screenplay by Andrew Barrer, tells of the terrifying tale of a family who discover their newly acquired home has a very dark past. Their lives turn tragically frighteningly when teenage son Ethan (Harrison Gilbertson), after becoming emotionally involved with his beautiful new neighbour, unwittingly invokes an alternative dimension of the house.
HAUNT is set for US cinemas from the 7th February and co-stars Danielle Chuchran, Liana Liberato, Jan Broberg and two-time Oscar-nominee Jacki Weaver. No details on a UK date just yet.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
