Lionsgate Films have released the first clip from director Stuart Beattie’s forthcoming supernatural fantasy I, FRANKENSTEIN. The gothic action/horror hybrid is a big-budget adaptation of UNDERWORLD creator Kevin Grevioux’s same-titled cult graphic novel, which sees THE DARK KNIGHT’s Aaron Eckhart as the title character and “creature” inspired by Mary Shelley.
The film is set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein’s ancient creation Adam finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality.
I, FRANKENSTEIN co-stars Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Socratis Otto, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young. It will be unleashed in cinemas from 24th January.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
