Evening all! We’ve just got hold of two new images from upcoming release DIVERGENT.
The dystopian story, which is set in a futuristic Chicago, features a society where people are separated into different factions according to their personality. It’s based on a best-selling YA book trilogy penned by Veronica Roth and rides on the wave of recent teenage post-apocalyptic fiction and film (The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Delirium, AngelFall).
No doubt production company Summit Entertainment is hoping for a similar success to THE HUNGER GAMES franchise – brought to us by parent company Lionsgate.
When Tris (Shailene Woodley) finds she doesn’t fit into any faction she is labelled ‘Divergent’ and ends up embroiled in a dangerous plot. Theo James also stars as Four, Tris’ instructor and love interest. Neil Burger (THE ILLUSIONIST) directs.
The images below show Woodley and James together in two scenes. And judging by them, it looks like their relationship is going to be pretty intense.
DIVERGENT hits cinemas on March 21 for US audiences and April 4 in the UK.

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
