Having already brought you an action-packed four-minute clip from Paramount Pictures’ reboot of JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT, we’ve an introduction to the heroic, undercover CIA analyst’s thrilling career. Chris Pine portrays Tom Clancy’s literary icon in the original film not based on any of the late author’s previous novels. He goes up against Kenneth Branagh’s villain Viktor Cherevin, who has a devious plan in motion to frame Ryan for an cataclysmic international terrorist plot designed to collapse the US economy.
JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT co-stars Kevin Costner, Keira Knightly, Colm Feore, Nonso Anozie, David Paymer and Peter Andersson. It’s slated for the US on the 17th January and the UK 31st January. Branagh is also behind the camera, directing his first film since Marvel’s THOR.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
