Marvel & Disney’s ‘Big Hero 6’ Lands Co-Director

Big Hero 6

Although the official announcement for BIG HERO 6 arrived last summer, Disney and Marvel haven’t said much about the film since. However, with a scheduled US release date of 7th November 2014 looming in the not-so-distant future, some news has surfaced about a co-director.

BOLT co-writer/director Chris Williams has reportedly signed on as co-director alongside MEET THE ROBINSONS writer Don Hall, with TANGLED producer Roy Conli also attached to the project. Some may say that these additions don’t fare well for Marvel/Disney, as it’s perceived that ‘too many cooks spoil the broth’ (or the film’s already in trouble). That being said, the plot sounds quite cool – set in San Fransokyo, six superheroes (Hiro Hamada, robot Baymax, Gogo, Honey Lemon, chef Wasabi and…Fred) must team together to help bring down a criminal plot threatening to destroy their beloved city.

That’s all we know for now, but keep checking back here on the site for more information (voice castings, anyone?) when it’s announced.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
