Hugh Jackman Shares Image From Set Of New Film ‘Chappie’

Having starred in four films last year (PRISONERS, MOVIE 43, LES MISERABLES, and THE WOLVERINE), it doesn’t look like Hugh Jackson will be slowing his work schedule down anytime soon. Fresh from his work on Bryan Singer’s highly anticipated X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, Jackman has now moved onto his next project, CHAPPIE.

Directed by Neill Blomkamp, the mind behind DISTRICT 9 and ELYSIUM, CHAPPIE tells the story of a robot who is stolen by two local gangsters who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes. Blomkamp staple Sharlto Copley will voice the titular robot with Jackman playing a character called Vincent.

Today saw Jackman visit the make-up chair and become Vincent for the first time and being the lovely fellow he is shared the results on social network site Instagram.

Day 1 on Chappie! Vincent is born, rocking the mullet. Working with Neill Blomkamp in SA. This film is rad.

CHAPPIE, directed by Neill Blomkamp, stars Sharlto Copley, Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver. It’s due for release in the US on 27th March 2015.
