Following Paramount Pictures’ action-packed four-minute clip and first character posters from their reboot, JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT, the hero (Chris Pine) and villain (Kenneth Branagh) land their own. The highly-anticpated return of Tom Clancy’s literary icon will finally shed light on just how the skilled CIA analyst was recruited into the US government, with Branagh marking the film as his first directing outing since Marvel’s THOR.
Pine, wearing the shoes previously broken in by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck, will see his Russian boss frame him in an international terrorist plot designed to collapse the US economy. Step forward Kevin Costner, who mentors the young financial hotshot in the art of fighting back to save his country!
We’ve also added the latest television spots.
JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT co-stars Keira Knightly, Colm Feore, Nonso Anozie, David Paymer and Peter Andersson. It’s slated for the US on the 17th January and the UK 31st January.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
