Even though he has told us quite a few times that he plans to retire, Kevin Smith is still lining up projects left right and centre! Smith took to his Facebook page to update us on his new projects.
TUSK will be the first release for Kevin Smith since RED STATE, and while the trailer will be premiering at Sundance next month, it looks like he is planning for the movie to have a bigger debut. He posted a picture of his Cannes certificates for the movies CLERKS, DOGMA and CLERKS II, saying he hopes to add one more this spring.
The big question on everybody’s lips is when will CLERKS III be on our big screens? Smith said that he hopes to start filming in May, which adds even more questions because there hasn’t been any news on the flick up to this point except for the announcement of the script.
But to add a big curve ball into the mix, it looks like CLERKS III won’t be Smith’s last film like Smith had suggested. He revealed details of a script with the working title HELENA HANDBAG, inspired by David Lynch’s unproduced screenplay ONE SALIVA BUBBLE. He did say all of his focus is on CLERKS III at the moment, so it might be a while until we get it.
Bring on CLERKS III that’s what we say!
