Featuring an all-star international cast led by Mad Men‘s suave Jon Hamm, the first trailer and poster has arrived for Disney’s inspirational sporting biopic MILLION DOLLAR ARM. Hamm stars in this true-story as super successful sports agent JB Bernstein, now being edged out of the big league by his slicker and younger competitors. Desperate for a break, he heads across to India with business partner Aash and a cantankerous veteran scout, with a crazy plan to unearth a rising prospect in the world of cricket and turn him into a Major League baseball player.
MILLION DOLLAR ARM is directed by FRIGHT NIGHT’s Craig Gillespie and is slated for the US on the 16th May 2014. No word yet on a UK date. It co-stars Bill Paxton, Lake Bell, Suraj Sharma, Aasif Mandvi, Madhur Mittal, Pitobash and Alan Arkin. Think JERRY MAGUIRE meets SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
