Five wins for 12 YEARS A SLAVE and three for GRAVITY. It’s starting to become a familiar pattern. The acting awards go to – yes, you’ve guessed it – Ejiofor, Blanchett, Leto and Nyong’o, with Spike Jonze rewarded for HER’s original screenplay and Destin Cretton taking the light off Ryan Coogler. THE ACT OF KILLING takes an interesting Best Foreign and Documentary combo, while Adele Exarchopoulos is Chicago’s Most Promising Performer.
