Described as an apocalyptic horror by rising director Miguel Angel Vivas, his forthcoming collaboration with powerhouse producer Jaume Collet-Serra – WELCOME TO HARMONY – finally has its two leads. Television favourites Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) and Matthew Fox (Lost) will star in the frosty first English-language chiller from the director of the 2010 Spanish and stylish home-invasion horror, KIDNAPPED.

Vivas also offered little details on the forthcoming fear flick:

“I can tell you it’s going to be very different from Kidnapped. It is a horror film, an apocalyptic film based on a novel. It’s an exploration of human behaviour and it’s about two survivors. I’m going to investigate how people react in a situation like that and it’s going to be very scary. It’s has a bit of 28 Days Later in it.”

WELCOME TO HARMONY is set in Bangor, Maine and follows a father and daughter trying to survive in a world decimated by chemical weapons following the breakout of war. They must fight off zombie-like psychos, while in competition for food and water from a nearby neighbour.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
