Following in the footsteps of Gerard Butler’s Leonidas in Zack Snyder’s visually-stunning adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic-novel 300, Aussie actor Sullivan Stapleton’s General Themistocles faces off against Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his Persian Army in side-sequel 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE. This chapter of the Greek invasion is directed by Noam Murro, with the majority of the action taking place at sea as the beautiful Persian Navy Commander, Artmeisia (Eva Green), leads the attack for her power-hungry God and lover.
300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE is released in cinemas 7th March 2014 and also stars Jack O’Connell, Hans Matheson, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey and Andrew Tiernan.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
