Earlier in the week we brought you three banners for the Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman directorial debut, WINTER’S TALE. The fantasy film is based on Mark Helprin’s celebrated and same-titled 1983 novel with Colin Farrell taking the lead as loveable scoundrel and petty thief Peter Lake. Set in an alternative New York City and spanning over a century, his redemption-seeking character finds himself breaking into the home of a bed-ridden young woman (Jessica Brown Findlay), only to fall in love.
Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, William Hurt, Eva Marie Saint, Ripley Sobo, Matt Bomer, Mckayla Twiggs and Will Smith co-star in the magical film set for US cinemas 14th February and the UK a week later.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
