It has been in development over at Warner Bros. for many years now, but it looks like the big-screen adaptation of the 1960s TV show GILLIGAN’S ISLAND is finally making some traction. Josh Gad, who was last seen, or rather heard in Disney’s FROZEN, will star in the film and write it for the studio.
The original series revolved around a group of seven people who ended up stranded on a deserted island following a tour on the famous S.S. Minnow.
Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez are also collaborating with Gad on the screenplay. It is not known which role Gad will play as yet.
