Wood Vs. Cusack In Tense New Trailer For ‘Grand Piano’

Earlier in the year, Elijah Wood featured in arguably the best horror flick of the year – the surprisingly faithful remake of William Lustig’s cult slasher MANIAC. He’s back in the suspense genre once again only this time he’s the one being tortured in a plot that seems similar to Joel Schumacher’s PHONE BOOTH.

GRAND PIANO sees Wood portray celebrated pianist Tom Selznick. He’s one of the most talented players of his generation, who has now stopped performing in public due to stage fright. A decision to return to the stage years after a catastrophic performance, leads him on desperate battle for survival when he’s forced to play the performance of his life in front of a packed theatre with an assassin (John Cusack) calling the shots!

Check out the first tense trailer from the acclaimed thriller set for US cinemas for 7th March 2014. No word on a UK release. Eugenio Mira directs.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
