Kansas City Film Critics Circle Award Winners

kcfcclogo3

Kansas are the latest regional group to declare 12 YEARS A SLAVE their number one of the year in multiple categories. Although McQueen and Cuaron tied for Best Director, the slave epic took the KCFCC’s Best Film, Actor, Screenplay and Best Supporting wins for Michael Fassbender and Lupita Nyong’o. However, the group weren’t so predictable when handing Sandra Bullock their Best Actress prize over current frontrunner Cate Blanchett.

Elsewhere, Spike Jonze managed to squeeze in two wins for HER and, well we’ll agree to disagree with that tie for DESPICABLE ME 2 and FROZEN.
