We’ve only two days left until the first trailer for sci-fi sequel DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES swings by and unleashes the next chapter of Caesar and his rise up the evolutionary ladder. The film, this time directed by Matt Reeves, is set 15 after the events of Rupert Wyatt’s 2011 prequel/reboot and follows a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier as they struggle to survive the growing nation of genetically evolved apes.
Check out this 12 second teaser setting up Wednesday’s trailer premiere with lead Jason Clarke screaming to speak to Caesar!
DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES co-stars Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-McPhee, Enrique Murciano and Kirk Acevedo. It’s set for cinemas July 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
