It appears Universal Pictures may have found a solution to the tragic death Paul Walker in completing the action sequel FAST & FURIOUS 7. We’re hearing Walker’s younger brother Cody, who has previously worked as a movie stuntman, has been asked to complete the actor’s work on the seventh film in the action franchise.
Production was shut down in the days following the horrific events as Walker’s family, friends and cast members, come to terms with the accident that claimed the 40 year-old’s life. This allowed Universal to come up with a plan to finish the film which was only half way through principle photography. They considered scrapping and starting again, significant rewrites and/or carrying on with the current route with the help of camera/CGI trickery. Whatever they decided, the studio also needed to take into consideration the fans and doing the beloved character of Brian O’Connor justice.
Apparently, Universal have approached Cody Walker, who is fifteen years younger at 25, to act as his late brother’s double as he bares an uncanny resemblance to the leading man. They’re expected to shoot many remaining scenes from behind and others using visual-effects. Screenwriter Chris Morgan has been asked to do a rework of the current script and director James Wan and the rest of the cast are expected to regroup and recommence filming after the festive period in early/mid January.
Paul Walker is expected to be finally laid to rest this weekend in California.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
