San Diego Film Critics Society Award Winners

sdfcslogo

12 YEARS A SLAVE may have led the San Diego Film Critics’ nominations, but Steve McQueen’s film came away empty-handed. Alfonso Cuaron, Cate Blanchett and Jared Leto added more fuel to their stellar runs, but it was Spike Jonze’s HER that got another regional push, taking Best Film, Original Screenplay and Score.

Oscar Isaac batted aside tough competition to take Best Actor, and surprise nominee Shailene Woodley snatched Best Supporting Actress from frontrunner Lupita Nyong’o. Emmanuel Lubezki was once again rewarded, but not for the film you might think…
