Legendary Pictures has confirmed a number of new additions to the cast of their forthcoming action-packed film adaptation of multimedia role-playing game World Of Warcraft. Joining the already confirmed Travis Fimmel and Paula Patton in the swords n’ sorcery epic being directed by MOON’s Duncan Jones will be the intense Ben Foster (30 DAYS OF NIGHT) and Great Brits Robert Kazinsky (PACIFIC RIM) and Toby Kebbell (DEAD MAN’S SHOES).
Colin Farrell is still said to be mulling over an offer from the studio for one of the main leads, while Dominic Cooper (next to be seen alongside Samuel L. Jackson in crime-thriller REASONABLE DOUBT and in next year’s blockbuster NEED FOR SPEED) is also considering a deal.
Now simply known as WARCRAFT, the fantasy film has a script by Charles Leavitt and is expected to roll before the cameras in January 2014 for a release slated for the 11th March 2016.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
