PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES will have many people tutting and sighing at the continuation of this saga, and although even a found-footage lover such as myself would have to agree the franchise has been patchy at best, I still like what I’m seeing. This latest film, as the subtitle suggests, is a bit of a spin-off from the main franchise, as a man named Jesse discovered he may be “marked”. This latest, albeit short, trailer asks “Will You Be Next?” as it kicks off a viral campaign.
Chris Landon, who wrote PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2,3, and 4, takes over the directing chair this time around. The trailer shows exploding glass and whole rooms being shaken, along with some creepy children. Meanwhile the latest international posters mix paranormal and religious imagery. Let’s hope we can experience true terror.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY is released in the UK on 1st January 2014 and 3rd January 2014 in the US.
