Game Of Thrones actor Kit Harington squares off against veteran Kiefer Sutherland in director Paul W.S. Anderson’s period disaster epic, POMPEII. Harrington leads as Milo, the slave of a shipping tycoon with dreams of marrying his master’s daughter (SUCKER PUNCH’s Emily Browning). Having discovered she’s already promised to Sutherland’s corrupt Roman senator, he’s quickly sold to another master who forces him to compete in the gladiatorial arena. However, with the historic eruption of Mount Versuvius threatening the life of his true love, he plots his escape to save his beloved beauty!
The 3D adventure film also stars Jared Harris, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas and Paz Vega. It erupts in US cinemas from the 21st February 2014 and the UK 28th February.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
