This past weekend, I went to the pictures and actually paid money to see THE INBETWEENERS MOVIE and to be honest, I really can’t see what all the fuss is about. True, it is funny in places, but really its just an extended version of a TV show with very few laughs. That is just my opinion, and you are welcome to it. It does seem that a nation doesn’t agree with me and have put their money where their mouth is and made the film the biggest opening for a live-action comedy ever to be released in this country. It has beat off THE HANGOVER PART II (£17,176,908), which was released earlier this year, and erm HANCOCK (£13,095,568) – is that really considered to be a comedy?
So, THE INBETWEENERS MOVIE has grossed a whopping £20 million in its first week, and a total of £27,715,177, £8.90 of which is mine – and I want it back.
Just kidding. This is great for British film, and huge congrats to Film 4, Entertainment Film Distributors and everyone else involved with the movie.
