Looking a far cry away from the likes of vicious crime thrillers BLOOD SIMPLE, FARGO and NO COUNTY FOR OLD MEN, the Coen Brothers’ latest, INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS, revolves around the week in the life of a rising young musician played Oscar Isaac. The film follows the title character as he becomes involved with the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. It’s been gaining rave reviews since its well-recieved world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won Grand Prix prize at the prestigious event.
Check out the latest UK trailer and clips from the film co-starring Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, Garrett Hedlund and John Goodman. It arrives in the UK cinemas on the 24th January 2014 with the US getting it a little earlier on the 6th December.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
