The great thing about FRIDAY THE 13th films is that you can kind of predict their release dates. You may have noticed that Friday 13th December is missing an entry into the series, but never fear as Paramount have secured a release date for the next film. That date will be Friday 13th March 2015. 2015 will be a great year for FRIDAY THE 13th as they’ll be three of the little darlings, but I doubt that means we’ll see 3 different films. Paramount have reacquired the rights after Warner Bros. failed to get a film into theatres within 5 years, as per the agreement.
There are no further details on the project, other than the fact that Platinum Dunes will once again produce. Interestingly enough though, some rumours have been circulating regarding a possible found footage approach. I’d very much enjoy seeing this, as a franchise such as FRIDAY THE 13th needs a bit of fresh blood.
