Jurassic-World

While many have suspected the forthcoming JURASSIC WORLD may be well be an epic reboot of the franchise, director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow has calmed many nerves by announcing it will indeed be a sequel. Probed by a fan of the dino-raging Steven Spielberg classic on Twitter regarding that “reboot” tag, the filmmaker currently best known for his time-travelling indie gem SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED, replied:

JURASSIC WORLD will be released on 12th June 2015. It currently has Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson confirmed in its cast. Jake Johnson, Jason Schwarzmann, Chris Pratt, David Oyelowo, Edris Elba, Irrfan Khan and Josh Brolin are also linked.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
