Earlier last month we brought you details of LD Entertainment’s attempt to remake the classic 1990 psychological horror, JACOB’S LADDER, originally directed by Adrian Lyne. The cult film featured a still-on-the-rise Tim Robbins as a damaged Vietnam War veteran who begins to suffer from harrowing hallucinations. However, his dark journey to discover the shocking truth behind them boasted a poignant political statement hidden in an unforgettable finale. MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN’s Jeff Buhler had rewrote the screenplay for this contemporary remake, previously adapted by Jake Wade Wall.
We can now confirm acclaimed filmmaker James Foley, best known for AT CLOSE RANGE, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS and most recently Netflix series House Of Cards, will helm the film expected to update the themes to include recent world events.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
