MACHETE is the little film that could. Starting life as a fake trailer which played between the two feature halves of GRINDHOUSE – DEATH PROOF, and PLANET TERROR – MACHETE is now set to become a trilogy.
The franchise, directed by Robert Rodriguez, stars Danny Trejo as an ex-federalé with a knife fetish, and a body count to rival the most bloodthirsty of killers. October saw sequel MACHETE KILLS released in cinemas across the UK and the film followed the same formula of the first, babes, bullets and blood. Those who missed the film on the big screen will have missed out on a fantastically tongue-in-cheek trailer for potential final trilogy instalment MACHETE KILLS AGAIN… IN SPACE.
Not to worry though as THN have stumbled across the trailer in it’s entirety on YouTube. Riffing heavily off of space films such as STAR WARS, the trailer is wonderfully over the top and features the funniest Justin Bieber ‘cameo’ you’ll see this week. The trailer can be seen below:
