Forthcoming and as yet untitled Lance Armstrong biopic is picking up speed as Lee Pace joins the cast.
Although we don’t yet know his role, THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG star will be working with Ben Foster, who plays disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. Chris O’Dowd plays journalist David Walsh, while Guillaume Canet and Jesse Plemons (BREAKING BAD) have supporting roles. Award winning Stephen Frears (DANGEROUS LIAISONS, THE QUEEN) directs.
Journalist David Walsh’s book Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong forms the basis for the script, being penned by John Hodge. Walsh spent two years investigating the seven time Tour de France winner for doping. Armstrong was eventually stripped of his medals and banned from competing for life.

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
