‘Jeepers Creepers 3’ Is Creeping Closer!

Creeper-2

Director Victor Salva has confirmed he is close to finally moving forward and completing his creature-feature trilogy centring on the centuries-old winged monster known as ‘The Creeper’. In fact, while official production is yet to get underway on JEEPERS CREEPERS 3, the infamous filmmaker has already shot a scene earlier last month for his blood-curdling closing sequel, which will see the return of Jonathan Breck’s hideously dormant demon.

We’re not quite sure why it’s taken so long, as Slava has indicated in the past he’s had the script completed for sometime. Especially when you consider the franchise has a huge following and together grossed more than $120 million worldwide. Not bad for a low-budget series in which both films were a highlight when horror was in decline. It makes you wonder if Salva’s controversial past still goes against him if he’s been unable to find finance until now?

So, it appears The Creeper will be feasting on flesh in the near future. Are you looking forward to JEEPERS CREEPERS 3? As ever, let us know!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

Yes, his past is why I honestly think that this film has been delayed. In the past few years these type of acts have really been brought to light and deemed intolerable by the public (I being one of those people). It’s a shame that a person with his talent has those type of tendancies. His past was brought up every time one of his films was released since then and because of this has hurt the films full potential earnings as more people will not bother seeing a film made by a child molester. I did see both of the Creeper films in theater but did not know of his situation until after the 2nd film was released. Again I enjoyed the films but am not sure I would support a person of this nature.

Absolutely understandable DNAsplitter. It’s always a tricky one for us journalists as, like you say both films were enjoyable, but it’s always going to follow him and is perhaps his just deserts.
