THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL’s Justin Chadwick is the man tasked with bringing the epic motion picture spanning the extraordinary life of South African revolutionary Nelson Mandela. The film begins with a look at his childhood in a small rural village, right through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected President of the nation he loved, yet treated him and his people so horrifically in those early years.
Idris Elba portrays the ordinary man who rose to the challenge of his times and triumphed in and intimate portrait of the making of a modern icon. It’s a role that could and the Great Brit his first Oscar nomination given the rave reviews he’s receiving.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
