While future cast member Samuel L. Jackson has pretty much confirmed she’s signed and sealed as the Avenger known as Scarlett Witch, we’ve had nothing forthcoming from Marvel Studios or the actress herself. Well, not until now at least. Speaking to MTV, the rising actress, who we’ll first get to see star opposite Jackson in Spike Lee’s OLDBOY remake, has confirmed she’s part of Joss Whedon’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. She also talked about her re-teaming with her GODZILLA co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who will play her speedy twin brother Quicksilver in the big-budget comic sequel:
We get to play husband and wife, and we get to play twin brother and sister. It’s also fun because even though in ‘Godzilla’ we play husband and wife, we don’t have a lot of scenes together. I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I’m so excited we get to work with each other more and to actually work with each other. I think it’s going to be fun.
Asked if she’s seen or begun the process of going in for concept art or costuming, Olsen added:
No, I just know about it. It’s been talked about, and it’s so fun.
Not much to go on but at least a confirmation she’s definitely onboard. Filming will begin in March 2014 for a release slated for the 1st May 2015.
