‘Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens Added To ‘Night At The Museum 3’ Cast

The masterpiece is almost complete. Following previous classic trilogies ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS, BIG MOMMAS HOUSE and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, director Shawn Levy is currently prepping the closing instalment of his NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM trio. Yes, Ben Stiller returns for another shameful payday as security guard Larry Daley in the forthcoming fantasy adventure NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 3. It’s already been confirmed Robin Williams will also reprise his role of Teddy Roosevelt and now we’ve news of the first newcomer.

Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens has joined the cast of 20th Century Fox’s threequel which will bring the action to London. Stevens will play the film’s main villain Sir Lancelot with shooting set for February 2014. After a few seasons on the acclaimed and award-winning period drama, Stevens is beginning to branch out into the big-screen having previously featured in THE FIFTH ESTATE and SUMMER IN FEBRUARY. He’ll next be seen in Scott Frank’s revenge thriller A WALK AMONGST TOMBSTONES opposite Liam Neeson.

    Cool! I am probably the only fan of the series, but it will be interesting to see how Stevens’ plays Sir Lancelot.
