Yesterday we brought you details of the first talent linked to the sidekick character of Nightwing in Zack Snyder’s still-untitled MAN OF STEEL sequel (currently going by BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN), which will pit Henry Cavill’s Kal-El against Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight. If you weren’t taken with cult Girls actor Adam Driver a serious contender for the role of Dick Grayson in the forthcoming blockbuster, we’ve another couple of names vying for the part of the weary Caped Crusader’s younger crime-fighting partner.

27 year-old rising actor Penn Badgely (MARGIN CALL, EASY A) and the blossoming, brooding 21 year-old Ezra Miller (THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER, WE NEEN TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN) are also being eyed by Snyder as potential contenders for the role of an upgraded “Robin”.

So, which of the trio would you like to see appear opposite the already confirmed Cavill, Affleck, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne in the superhero sequel flying into cinemas from the 17th July 2015?

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

I pick Penn Badgely. I think He would Make the best Robin with Ben and Cavill. In Batman VS. Superman.
