Earlier this year, the reboot of Wolverine’s solo career on the silver screen was released in the form of the aptly named THE WOLVERINE, generally garnering much more favourable reviews than its predecessor, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. Now, the world as a whole is most likely under the impression that THE WOLVERINE is a sequel to it. It isn’t. Though not an origin story, it is in fact a new beginning for Wolverine and proves to be quite the entertaining one at that.
However, some fans were left disappointed by the lack of the famed costume that originally provided him with the ferocious spandex-covered chic from the source material. But fear not fashion gurus and comic-book lovers alike. In anticipation of THE WOLVERINE’s upcoming digital and DVD/Blu-ray release, 20th Century Fox has launched a new multi-touch eBook, offering extra content from James Mangold’s THE WOLVERINE. Amongst the glorious extras is an alternate ending, which reveals the costume we’ve all been longing to see, with another boasting a behind the scenes featurette of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST led by Bryan Singer.
In THE WOLVERINE, we’re frequently reminded how infamous our titular character is. For those who are unclear, THE WOLVERINE occurs after all the X-Men films with the exception of the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. But here’s a thought for you guys – is the reason Logan’s smirking in the clip below a response to a variation of the X-MEN: FIRST CLASS suits he may have worn some point between X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and DAYS OF FUTURE PAST? Only time will tell. Check out the clips below and make sure to watch in full-screen!
