A name and a talent that’s always bugged me is filmmaker Joseph McGinty – or rather the ridiculously monikered McG. Anyone that insists on calling himself that comes across as a bit of a tit in my eyes. He may as well have the word Bellend on any poster or credit in place of his silly nickname. Admittedly, I’m looking extremely forward to his forthcoming action-thriller THREE DAYS TO KILL as it features great Kevin Costner looking at an action-man reinvention of Liam Neeson-like proportions!
THREE DAYS TO KILL sees Costner as Secret Service Agent Ethan Runner, a veteran who decides to retire and spend more time with his estranged family after learning he doesn’t have long to live. When he’s offered the chance to take an experimental drug that will prolong his life – providing he takes on one last mission – he struggles keep the promise he made to his loved ones and complete the job. Not helped by the new drug’s hallucinatory side-effects.
Sultry stunner Amber Heard, ENDER’S GAME’s Hailee Steinfeld and GLADIATOR’s Connie Nielsen co-star in the film written and produced by Luc Besson. Check out the first stills!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
