First time writer and director Trevor White offers a shocking look at a life lost to crime for his impressively cast crime biopic JAMESY BOY. Newcomer Spencer Lofranco plays the young title character, who fell in with the wrong street gangs and eventually landed a long stint a top maximum security prison. However, he went on to form a strong friendship with a fellow inmate – a convicted murderer – who took the youngster under his wing as a father figure and mentor. Showing James a positive way to live his life and ultimately change the path he was destined for.
We’ve the first trailer and poster for the film co-starring Mary Louise Parker, James Woods, Ving Rhames and Taissa Farmiga. It’s released on VOD in the US on the 3rd January 2014, with a limited cinema release on the 17th January. No release dates as yet for the UK.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
