We are massive fans of the Walt Disney film SAVING MR. BANKS here at THN, and if you want to know just how much, make sure you read our review of the film from this past month’s London Film Festival. Our own Sam Carey had the following to say about the film:
SAVING MR. BANKS is a wonderful piece of cinema that is equally funny and tear-inducing. The cast and crew have done justice to a story that could easily have been given the ‘Disney treatment’ and hung Mrs. Travers out to dry. Thankfully for us all, nothing could be further from the truth. It’s supercali- Nah, we won’t go there.
What we can’t get our heads around is that it has taken all of the way up until three weeks away from release to see the very first images of Colin Farrell’s character in the film. Here’s the first two images, courtesy of Digital Spy, of Robert Goff Travers (played by Farrell), the father of MARY POPPINS author PL Travers, who is played in the film by Emma Thompson.
Check out the images below.
SAVING MR. BANKS opens in the UK on 29th November and the US on the 13th December.
