Screened at this year’s Frightfest in August, Brit flick IN FEAR was one of the films that generated a lot of buzz. Making his feature debut IN FEAR is directed by Jeremy Lovering, with Ian De Caestecker (BBC3’s The Fades, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D) and Alice Englert (BEAUTIFUL CREATURES) playing newly formed couple Tom and Lucy.
Set in the heart of the Irish countryside the film follows the love-birds as they drive to a secluded hotel ahead of a weekend at a music festival. The couple inevitably get more than a little lost on route and that’s when things start to get really strange. Some of the Frightfest reactions saw IN FEAR being compared to horror classics such as THE DESCENT and the now highly parodied THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT.
To promote the cinema release next week, a new viral site for the couples final destination ‘Kilairney House Hotel’ has appeared here. Click through to the site and find out more information about the picturesque retreat as well as see snippets of footage from the movie. Pay particular attention to the special offers section where you can win tickets to the films premiere.
IN FEAR is released in UK cinemas 15th November 2013.
