A glorious new IMAX poster has been released for Lionsgate’s high-anticaped sequel THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE. Jennifer Lawrence is back as the brooding beautiful survivalist Katniss Everdeen, who, following her trauma in the previous film, will learn her fight is not even close to being finished as the President Snow plots a new event!
Francis Lawrence replaces Gary Ross in the directors chair for the film based on Suzanne Collins’ young adult series hitting cinemas from 22nd November.
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of thedistricts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE co-stars Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Toby Jones, Woody Harrelson, Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit, Meta Golding, Bruno Gunn, Maria Howell, and Sam Claflin.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
