Mr Tyson Wade Johnston is an up and coming film-maker that THN have been following and keeping up-to-date with for a while now, so we’re very excited to have his full short film LUNAR to share today.
We were previously lucky enough to have the exclusive on his first, full short SEED pretty much a year ago. So, if you like what you see below, then click here to check out that great work out as well. But before you do that, scroll down to see Tyson’s impressive short LUNAR which in set in the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles City in 2057. This time, outlaw Heath Ryder (Justin Zachary) is captured and sentenced to a lifetime of imprisonment on the LUNAR penitentiaries. To reunite with his family, he must become the first convict to escape the corrupt system and return to Earth.
It’s punchy, grimy and he’s used all his experience – alongside beautiful cinematography from Will Mayer – to bring it all to life and in fact, I think it’s got massive potential for further scope and exploration. Watch it below and let us know your thoughts:
