Not satisfied with just releasing amazing music – it was announced today that Joan Jett will be joining the cast of new Indie UNDATEABLE JOHN.
The film, which has already gone into production, tells the story of a former pro-surfer dubbed “Undateable John” (John Philbin) who is suffering from alcoholism. While fighting his on/off battles at an AA meeting, he meets Jane (Estella Warren). Not only will she be executive producing the project and providing the soundtrack, Jett will also play a Venice Beach punk musician who befriends John and Jane at an AA meeting.
This isn’t Jett’s first time on screen, she also starred alongside Michael J. Fox in LIGHT OF DAY, plus she was immortalised on the big screen when Kristen Stewart played Jett in THE RUNAWAYS.
UNDATEABLE JOHN, written by Cynthia Posner and set to be directed by Demian Lichtenstein, also stars Daryl Hannah, Tom Arnold, Margaret Cho, Meredith Baxter, and Shannen Doherty.
