We’re now only days away from the return of Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian Avenger in Marvel’s THOR: THE DARK WORLD. The film marks only the second feature in Marvel’s Phase II as the God Of Thunder is forced to release his mischievous brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and ask for his help in defeating Christopher Eccleston’s disfigured Dark Elf, Malekith The Accursed and evil army of Dark Elves.
We’re always ones for wanting to give fans as much as possible from a films promotional campaign. While we’ve already given the final and official poster and character artwork, Shortlist ran their own competition asking for alternative designs and some of those seriously put Marvel’s in the shade! They include work from artists Matt Needle, Ollie Boyd, Peter Stults, Matt Ferguson, Scott Woolston, Liam Bushby, Paul Jeffrey and Jamie Roberts.
Which one is your favourite?
THOR: THE DARK WORLD co-stars Natalie Portman, Stellen Skarsgaard, Jamie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Tadanobu Asano, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins. It’s releasedin UK cinemas 30th October and the US 8th November.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
