It seems as though the number of American Thanksgiving movies has increased over the course of the last few years, and here’s the latest. COLD TURKEY sees a dysfunctional family come together for the holiday where people eat a lot and says “thanks”. As you can imagine, they are an eclectic mix of characters that each have their own emotional bagage that needs dealing with. What it seems to lack in plot, is made up for by some obviously dedicated performances from the likes of Peter Bogdanovich and Cheryl Hines. Written and directed by Will Slocombe, the film will no doubt boil down to its dialogue and character interactions, which look humorous and involving from what we see below.
COLD TURKEY is set for a US release on 15th November. It stars Peter Bogdanovich, Cheryl Hines, Alicia Witt, Ashton Holmes, Sonya Walger, and Amy Ferguson. The UK will have to wait until we start celebrating Thanksgiving.
