The comedic actor Chris O’Dowd features alongside Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings in this fifth clip from Marvel’s latest action-adventure THOR: THE DARK WORLD. In addition, we’ve another television spot from the second film in the studios Phase II canon, which sees the return of Chris Hemsworth’s hammer-swinging title character as he is forced to team with his sinister sibling Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in an effort to crush the plans of Christopher Eccleston’s Dark Elf, Malekith The Accursed and his band of Dark Elves.
Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
THOR: THE DARK WORLD co-stars Stellan Skarsgaard, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Tadanobu Asano, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins. It’s released in UK cinemas 30th October and the US 8th November. Alan Taylor directs.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
