It appears that Walt Disney Studios has released an early teaser poster for the fifth instalment in the popular PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN series, revealed by directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg to be subtitled DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES.
The film, originally intended to be released in July 2015, was delayed by Disney last month until summer 2016 as the script was not ready. The directors and producer Jerry Bruckheimer felt that it would be a bad move to rush the film to meet the deadline and that they should instead take the time to perfect the script. I think most fans of the franchise would agree that it was a good idea; it seems the filmmakers are actually interested in making a good film rather than a quick money-making scheme.
The poster below features both the subtitle and the 2016 date and shows Captain Jack Sparrow’s hat floating atop one of the Seven Seas. Details of the poster’s release are incredibly scarce and whether it was official, leaked or even faked are currently unknown. Keep checking THN for the information as it arrives.
