New Featurette & Mondo Posters For Gavin Hood’s ‘Ender’s Game’

The release of the big-screen adaptation Orson Scott Card’s iconic sci-fi novel, ENDER’S GAME is fast approaching and the promo content just keeps on coming. Written and directed by X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE’s Gavin Hood, the sci-fi thriller has today released a behind-the-scenes featurette looking at the making of the classic children’s tale as well as a couple of alternative and collectable Mondo poster designs.

ENDER’S GAME is led by rising youngster Asa Butterfield as the prospective saviour of mankind and co-stars Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Viola Davis.

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the nextattack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the futureMazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easilymasters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

The film hits the UK on the 25th October followed by a US release a week later on the 1st November.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
