This Friday in the US, Kimberly Pierce’s CARRIE is unleashed in theatres (we in the UK must wait until the 29th November) and we’ll finally see if Sony and Screen Gems’ contemporary remake can match (or even top) Brian DePalma’s classic horror based on the on the iconic novel by Stephen King. Chloe Grace Moretz takes on the title role (previously portrayed by an Oscar-nominated Sissy Spacek) as the tragic, tormented teenage outcast. For those laughing at her on prom night… just beware, she’s likely to spark!
Check out this brand new clip as Carrie’s devoutly religious mother Margaret, played by the ever-excellent Julianne Moore, does a little head-banging. We’ve also added the latest television spot.
CARRIE co-stars Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde, Ansel Elgort.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
